You know, lately I’ve seen so many writers, published and aspiring, talk about these rules for how someone should write. Now, some of those rules are actually good advice and I even follow some but there is not one set way to write a good story. Every writer is different and has his or her own style and voice. It’s tricky trying to write for others because people are so different in what they want. I think the best way you can get better is to just keep writing. If you don’t want to follow these rules, then break them. If you do, then good, use them however you see fit. To me, the most important thing is the passion you have for writing and the determination to never give up.
